ABOUT US
New Life Forestry of Ohio
Ron and Tom Dement started working with their hands in the tool and die industry under their father, Richard. With an early interest in carpentry and glassblowing, the twin brothers started honing their trade in high school woodworking classes. Together, with backgrounds in commercial and residential glass installation, tiling, and cabinetry, the brothers behind New Life Forestry have over 50 years of combined experience.
The idea of starting a furniture company emerged when the brothers began harvesting salvaged tree lumber from their local golf courses. Ron and Tom were able to give these discarded pieces of lumber a second life as beautiful tables and benches. They found that by contacting local tree trimmers and arborists, they were able to salvage trees that would typically end up in landfills or as firewood.
In 2025, New Life Forestry partnered with H. Gerstner & Sons, local woodworking company manufacturing chests and cases since 1906. Together, we are prepared to supply the area with local and exotic custom wood solutions for home, office, and entertainment.
